Introducing Arinto, the darling grape variety of Lisbon. This variety is indigenous and thus is entitled (unlike the imported varieties above) to the appellation of DOC Alenquer. This is a unique variety, making for an incredibly interesting wine. The hallmarks are acidity, mineral notes and austerity. This is a gastronomic wine. While the other wines listed above can easily be consumed on their own this one begs for seafood. Appropriately sealed with a wax capsule, this wine can be cellared for many years to come for added complexity. We know we'll be cellaring some.
