      This grape variety is often blended with others in its spiritual home of the Rhône Valley, but João Carvalho shows this variety can stand on its own two feet.  Expect notes of lemon and orange peel, fig, apricot and almond.  Rich and full on the palate.  A great substitute for Chardonnay, for those that like a fuller bodied white without the oaky notes.
