Lo Triolet Pinot Gris 2021

This isn't your typical Italian Pinot Grigio.  This wine is a perennial recipient ofGambero Rosso's 3 Bicchieri award, putting it firmly in the category of Italy's most exceptional wines and certainly one of the country's best Pinot Gris/Grigio.  It is also, perhaps, the wine that Lo Triolet is best known for.  A must try.

Tasting note for 2018 vintage
"Deep straw-yellow. Captivating aromas and flavors of pear, white flowers, tangerine and white pepper. Rich, round and smooth, with a peppery, honey-nuanced but smooth finish. Outstanding. The Pinot Gris vines are planted in the communes of Introd and Villeneuve at 800–900 meters above sea level and range from 20 to 30 years old. The altitude helps ensure long hang times for this notably low-acid variety, and the sandy, morainic soil contributes to elegant wines, neither overly structured nor flabby. "
