      Fully saturated red-ruby. Musky, balsamic nuances to aromas of black cherry, blueberries macerated in alcohol, dried flowers, licorice and vanilla. Sweet, dense, very ripe and pliant, boasting wonderfully complex red and dark fruit as well as underbrush flavors. Despite its opulence and lusciousness, this is not at all over-the-top, and is still quite youthful, finishing with suave tannins and excellent verve and nuance. Made in an Amarone-like style that may not be for everyone, by using late harvested grapes picked at the end of November-beginning of December. Aged 24 months in barriques and tonneaux, then another year in bottle prior to release.- 93/100  Ian d'Agata
