Calcario “Coluvio de Altamira” Malbec 2018

The chalky 2018 Calcáreo Coluvio de Altamira fermented and matured in a 4,000-liter oak vat. It's a wine that is always powerful and seamless, a very showy wine with nice balance and with a strong expression of the limestone soils. It's pretty open and showy—it's the Calcáreo that shows its true colors earlier on. It has very clean and focused aromas and flavors and is medium-bodied and nicely textured. It's a bit fuller than the Chacayes. 3,000 bottles were filled in February 2020.- Luis Gutiérrez
